Conveyor Belt Grades Guide

This guide provides technical specifications and fixed data for all standard conveyor belt grades we manufacture. It is designed as a reference library for engineers, buyers, and partners.

Grade List

•     Commercial Quality Conveyor Belt (CQ)
•     General Duty Conveyor Belt (N17)
•     Abrasion Resistant Conveyor Belt (M24)
•     Heat Resistant Conveyor Belt (HR)
•     Fire Resistant Conveyor Belt (FR)
•     Oil Resistant Conveyor Belt (OR)
•     Chemical Resistant Conveyor Belt (CR)
•     Cold Resistant Conveyor Belt
•     Food Grade Conveyor Belt (FG)
•     Super Abrasion Resistant Conveyor Belt (SAR)
•     Commercial Rubber Sheet

Technical Summary of Standard Grades

Our conveyor belt grade library covers a wide spectrum of industrial needs, ranging from general duty belts like Commercial Quality (CQ) and N17, which provide reliable performance under ambient conditions, to heavy-duty abrasion resistant belts such as M24 and the premium Super Abrasion Resistant (SAR) class designed for mining and stone crushing environments. For specialized applications, we offer Heat Resistant (HR) belts capable of continuous service at elevated temperatures, Fire Resistant (FR) belts with self‑extinguishing properties for enhanced safety, Oil Resistant (OR) belts that withstand hydrocarbon exposure, and Chemical Resistant (CR) belts tested against acids and bases. Cold Resistant belts are engineered to remain flexible and crack‑free even at –40 °C, while Food Grade (FG) belts comply with FDA standards to ensure safe handling in food processing. In addition, we supply Commercial Rubber Sheets for general purpose sealing and lining applications. Each grade is defined by fixed technical parameters such as tensile strength, elongation, abrasion loss, hardness, adhesion values, and ageing behavior, ensuring clarity and consistency for engineers and procurement teams. These highlights provide a quick overview of the performance and compliance standards associated with each grade, while detailed specifications, test data, and reference standards can be found in the attached PDF datasheets for deeper technical review.

Fabric Guide

Alongside rubber compounds, the choice of fabric reinforcement is critical in defining the strength, flexibility, and durability of conveyor belts. Different fabrics are used depending on the operational environment and performance requirements.

Fabric List

  • Cotton (CN) → Economical, flexible, light duty.

  • Nylon (NN) → High strength, impact resistant, widely used.

  • Polyester (EP) → Low stretch, stable, chemical resistant.

  • Nylon–Polyester Hybrid (EP/NN) → Balanced flexibility and stability.

  • Kevlar / Aramid → Extreme strength, cut resistant, specialized belts.

  • Steel Cord → Maximum tensile strength, minimal elongation, long‑distance conveyors.

Technical Summary of Fabrics

Conveyor belt fabrics form the backbone of the carcass and directly influence how a belt performs under load. Nylon (NN) fabrics are widely used for their toughness and ability to absorb impact, while Polyester (EP) fabrics provide dimensional stability with low stretch and superior resistance to moisture, making them ideal for humid or wet environments. Cotton (CC) fabrics, though traditional, remain relevant in lighter duty belts where flexibility and cost efficiency are important. For demanding applications, Aramid or Kevlar® reinforcements deliver outstanding strength with reduced weight and excellent cut resistance, and Steel Cord constructions are chosen for long‑distance, high‑tension conveying where durability and minimal elongation are essential. Each fabric type contributes unique properties such as warp and weft tensile strength, elongation behavior, adhesion with rubber layers, and environmental resistance, ensuring belts can be tailored to diverse industries from mining and cement to food processing and cold storage. This overview highlights the role of fabrics in defining belt performance, while detailed specifications and test data will be provided in the attached PDF datasheets for deeper technical review.
